Applications are invited for a Research Engineer position (50% time) to work on the integration and testing of particle detectors for lunar exploration.
The selected candidate will join the Solar System Physics and Space Technology (SSPT) research group at the Swedish Institute of Space Physics (IRF) in Kiruna. The start date is immediate.
The SSPT group at IRF conducts research in space plasma physics by developing instruments for lunar and planetary missions, analyzing data obtained from those missions, and performing computer simulations to study the space environment around bodies in the solar system.

Qualifications
The applicant is expected to have an MSc (or comparable academic degree) in experimental physics at the time of employment. Experience with laboratory work and ion optics simulations are strong merit.
